Atlanta Sacred Chorale (ASC) has touched people's hearts and spirits with the transformative power of sacred choral music for over twenty years. Through the fusion of exquisite artistry and emotional depth, ASC's performances include a rare expressiveness that seeks to touch both the audience and the Divine. Their exciting repertoire has been called “the musical language of the deeper soul,” by their director, and includes choral treasures from the Renaissance to the Contemporary, as well as familiar hymns, spirituals, and gospel music.
Renowned for their transcendent sound, ASC is a non-denominational community chorus whose singers are selected by audition only, bringing together professional musicians and gifted amateurs in an exciting choral ensemble whose mission is, “Lifting the spirit through choral artistry.”
ASC performs ten to twelve concerts each year in the Atlanta area and throughout the Southeast. Annual concerts include: Christmas with Atlanta Sacred Chorale, Georgia Artists Series in the renowned Spivey Hall, and Season Finale, performed in the beautiful Schwartz Center at Emory University in Atlanta. ASC also hosts the annual Emory Community Choral Festival at the Schwartz Center, a unique format that features ASC and three other metro Atlanta community choruses in a single night's performance.
ASC has also performed by invitation for many special concerts, including 15 consecutive years at the Choral Artists Series of the Piccolo Spoleto Festival, with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, at Carnegie Hall, and at conventions of the American Choral Directors Association, Music Educators National Conference, Choristers Guild, Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship, and Baptist Church Music Conference.
